L’assessore regionale Mauro Febbo, nonostante una richiesta di stop dei lavori da parte della Soprintenza ai Beni Archeologici, confermava l'inizio dei lavori per il 10 febbraio. La continua mobilitazione dei cittadini ha portato invece il 9 febbraio all'approvazione all'unanimità da parte del Consiglio Regionale della risoluzione per il blocco della cava tra Punta Aderci e Punta Penna, a Vasto.

Una bella notizia. Una vittoria per i cittadini e per l'ambiente.

E già si sta dicendo che probabilmente si potrà utilizzare questa sabbia per evitare di aprire altre cave sottomarine per i ripascimenti comunque decisi.

Che idea brillante per salvare le coste!

Peccato che gli amministratori non sappiano che la sabbia di dragaggio in prossimità dei porti sia equiparata a rifiuto per l'alto tasso di elementi inquinanti, e pertanto deve essere smaltita con apposite procedure.

In a democracy there is a right to be informed.
